The transition from winter to spring is a tricky time when it comes to home decor. On one hand it’s still a bit chilly fully transition to spring accents, but on the other hand we are seeing some warmer weather and spring is just around the corner. While spring may not be in full swing (yet), it’s never too soon to add a few cheery touches to your home.
Clear Your Entryway
The entryway is the first area you (and guests) see when coming home from work, school or errands. If you’re anything like the rest of the world, this space can get cluttered quickly. an ordered, calm space can help you work toward an ordered, calm mind. Consider investing in a multi purpose unit for coats, shoes, hats, gloves, scarves and anything else you store in this area.
Swap Your Your Towels
There is a time and place for stark white, fluffy towels in the bathroom. Spring is not it! Add a pop of color to your bathroom(s) with floral or boldly colored hand towels. This added color will create a sense of warmth, welcome and energy to an otherwise plain bathroom. Waking up is hard enough as it is – but these towels are sure to cheer you up!
Buy Yourself Flowers
This may sound a little bit silly, but hear us out. A bundle of colorful flowers is one of the quickest ways to add pizazz and cheer to any space. Additionally, it will make you feel like spring is here despite the cooler temperatures.
Quick fact: did you know that flowers don’t just brighten our surroundings, but are beneficial to our mental health, too?
Bring Spring Indoors
It may be too cold to sit outside, but that doesn’t mean you can’t bring the flair of spring indoors. Open blinds, curtains and windows to brighten and open up the space. Next, add some colorful pillows or throw blankets to couches or chairs.
Enjoy the View
Right now you might be thinking, “what view?” Let us explain. While we may not all have a picturesque view of woodlands or water from our bedroom window, too many of us are guilty of keeping the blinds and curtains closed. Our recommendation? Let the light in! You will be surprised how much a little bit of daylight can lift your spirits. If the view of your backyard is less than pleasant (especially after this dreary winter weather), make it more scenic. Start with polishing the windows until they sparkle. Then, start planning a colorful spring garden.
Hopefully, spring is just a couple more weeks away. In the meantime, we hope these tips help you feel the warm vibes a little bit early!
